Easton's Grant in North Shore Navigators' Bullpen

Wheaton College pitcher Ryan Grant is working in the bullpen for the North Shore Navigators.

 

Former Oliver Ames standout Ryan Grant is in the bullpen this summer for the North Shore Navigators in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.

The Navigators will be playing the Brockton Rox Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. in "Backwards Night." The game will start with the post-game handshake, fans will be allowed free into the stadium after the third inning, there will the seventh inning stretch after the third inning as the teams will start from the ninth inning and work backwards. The national anthem will be played at the end of the game.

Going to this weekend, Grant was 0-0 on the mound, making two appearances.

The 6'1'', 190-pounder is coming off a spring where he was the closer for the Wheaton College baseball team, who made it in the Division 3 World Series before losing in the finals to Marietta College in Grand Chute, WI.

A junior, Grant made 24 apperances for Wheaton with an 0-1 record with 13 saves and a 2.30 earned run average. He also struck out 18 batters and walked 11.
