Easton's Nunes Closes Out Stellar Career for UMass-Lowell Baseball

Easton's Dallas Nunes spent four stellar years in the University of Massachusetts-Lowell baseball team's bullpen.

 

In his fourth year as the University of Massachusetts-Lowell baseball team's closer, Easton's Dallas Nunes turned in another stellar performance.

The 6'2'', 190-pound right-hander finished with a 4-3 record with four saves in 18 appearances. Nunes finished with a 2.96 ERA, striking out 31 batters in 51.2 innings. In a 14-6 win over Stonehill, March 28, he went seven innings, only giving up two, while striking nine batters.

As a junior. Nunes had an 0.61 earned run average with seven saves, while in his sophomore year, he was 2-2 with a 3.68 earned run average and 33 strikeouts in 51.1 innings.

Nunes stepped right into the closer role for UMass-Lowell as a freshman with eight saves and a 2.77 earned run average. He was named to Northeast-10 Third Team and was a member of the All-Rookie Team.

UMass-Lowell finished the season with a 26-20-1 record this year.
