Easton Sees Slight Population Growth Since 2000
According to census numbers released Tuesday, Easton's population grew from 22,299 to 23,112 since 2000.

The town of Easton saw it's population grow 3.65 percent from 22,299 in 2000 to 23,112 in 2010 according to numbers released by the U.S. Census Bureau Tuesday.
Easton's growth reflected a trend in the area, with most towns seeing a slight increase in population, including Norton (5.52%), West Bridgewater (4.25%), Mansfield (3.44%) and Sharon (1.17%). Raynham saw a significant increase of 14 percent from 11,739 to 13,383.
Stoughton (-0.69%), Brockton (-0.52%) and Taunton (-0.18%) all saw slight population decreases.

According to the data, the average Easton household cosists of 2.59 people. The average family consists of 3.03 people. Easton's median family income is $104,091.
There are far more white people residing in Easton than any other race. According to the data, 93.1% of Easton's residents are white (21,327). 3.6 percent of Easton's residents are black or African American (836). 1.6 percent of Easton's residents are Asian (359) and 0.8 percent are another race. 0.9 percent of Eastonites are of mixed race.
