Krajcik said Easton is one of 44 towns that is a member of MetroLEC, which "provides highly trained specialized teams of officers that can assist in law enforcement agencies when needed," such as a motorcycle unit, a special weapons and tactics team, a computer crime unit, a crisis negotiation unit, a rapid reaction team, and canine teams.

"Our community is fortunate to be a member of MetroLEC as it gives us immediate acces to these specialized units as we are not able to provide the manpower or cost of having our own such units," Krajcik said.
