Elderly Man Killed In Easton 2-Alarm Fire: FD
The 2-alarm fire took about two hours to extinguish. Clutter in the house made it difficult for firefighters to get inside.

EASTON, MA — An 84-year-old Easton man was found dead, following a two-alarm house fire.
Around 8 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to 42 Dean Street and arrived to heavy smoke and flames coming from the basement and first floor of the single-family home. The inside of the house was full of clutter, which according to fire officials made it difficult to get inside the house. After dousing the flames, firefighters found a man's body.
The man was believed to be homeowner David Berman, 84, according to fire officials, but the Medical Examiners’ Office will formally identify the victim and determine the cause of death. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
