False Alarm at Norton Avenue Tuesday

A false alarm that sent three fire engines to Norton Ave Tuesday afternoon highlights today's police and fire log.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, responded to a commercial alarm on Norton Avenue. One ladder truck and two pumper engines responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officials found the alarm was accidental from the heat detector in one of the units. The system was silenced and maintenance workers were notified of the problem.

Motor Vehicle Accident at Shaw's Plaza Tuesday Evening

Emergency officials responded to a motor vehicle accident at Plaza at approximately 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, officials reported a single car drove into a light pole. While there was extensive damage to the vehicle, there was no injuries.

Motor Vehicle Accident Near Industrial Park Wednesday Morning

Emergency officials responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Plymouth Drive and Washington Street near the Easton Industrial Park entrance Wednesday morning at 9:22 a.m. Upon arrival, officials found no injuries and the ambulance was cancelled en route.

Motor Vehicle Accident on Turnpike and Foundry Thursday

Shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, officials responded to a motor vehicle accident on Foundry and Washington Street. Upon arrival, officials found a two car accident. The ambulance was cancelled en route and no injuries were reported.
