The homeowners were not home at the time, but left a candle burning. While the fire was contained to the kitchen, there was significant smoke damage throughout the room. Crews on the scene checked for extension in the home and ventilated the first and second floor.
Crews sent about an hour on the scene. West Bridgewater was called for station coverage but was cancelled en route.
