Forty-Seven Southeastern Regional Voc Tech Students Welcomed into National Honor Society

(South Easton) - A record number of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School students and guests joined with staff, faculty and administration to celebrate the induction of 47 new students to the Southeastern Chapter of the National Honor Society. Candidates earned their membership through the effective demonstration of the four qualities that serve as standards for the Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.

The morning program began with a warm welcome and Pledge of Allegiance by Destiny Fuentes-Guerra, Honor Society President, followed by commendation by Principal David Wheeler. Attendees then enjoyed a catered breakfast, provided by Culinary majors at the school.

Mrs. Bre Miller, National Honor Society advisor, introduced chapter officers Destiny Fuentes-Guerra (President), Nicolle Digaetano (Vice President), Haley Johnson (Secretary) and Destiney Tolbert (Treasurer), who lit candles representing each of the four membership standards.

The Induction Ceremony began with Mrs. Andrea Tocchio, National Honor Society Advisor, leading the new inductees in the National Honor Society pledge. Each new member crossed the stage to receive a certificate of membership and sign the official chapter register.
