The Fun Doesn't End with the Summer at the Cape.
There is fun all year long at the Cape!

Just because summer is gone, doesn't mean your fun weekends on Cape Cod should end. There are plenty of fun activities to be had on the Cape after the summer months have passed. Since there won't be much traffic, you can come and go as you please, without being worried about a backup on the bridge.
If there is one thing that the Cape is famous for, it's cranberries. There are several cranberry bogs on the Cape that you can tour, without fighting the hordes of tourists that summer brings. While you are there, you can pick up some fresh cranberries just in time for Thanksgiving.
You may have heard of the Cape Cod Rail Trail and wanted to give it a try, but were discouraged by all of the busy tourists whizzing by. Now is your chance to explore one of greatest aspects of the Cape. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is a paved bikeway that runs 25 miles from South Dennis to Wellfleet. It easily offers the greatest variety in scenery and natural landscapes of all the regional bike paths. It runs through several towns in the mid Cape, many of which have wonderful downtown attractions, that usually involve ice cream.
If culture is what you are after, Cape Cod delivers! The Academy of Performing Arts is open year-round and has an annual performance of ‘A Christmas Story'. When it comes to finding that special something for your home, the Cape is hard to beat for antiquing. Unique and historical items can be found scattered all across the Cape. Many store owners know the stories behind the items, which makes these pieces come to life. Provincetown is home to the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, where you can view all types of art, some from new budding artists. While you are there, a stroll through downtown Provincetown will lead you through many art galleries, where you can pick up a new piece for your collection.

You probably think that having the kids with you will prove tricky and keeping them entertained will be impossible, not at the cape! The Woods Hole Aquarium is open year-round and hosts many of the animals you could find right outside at the beach. You can even watch the daily seal feedings. It's also not hard to get kids to eat chips, so try taking a tour of the world-famous Cape Cod potato chip factory. You get to explore a new area of the Cape while having a fun snack.
Take advantage of the barren route six and find new areas of the Cape to explore. No matter what you are interested in, the Cape has something for everyone. So, get out there and find your off-season haven, and leave the crowds back in the summer.
