Where/When: Easton YMCA/ Saturday 7:30 a.m.

  • Your participation will help send a kid to camp, give a child    access to a Y after school program or allow a family to stay healthy and connected by

Where/When: 196 Washington Street/ Saturday 9 a.m.

Why Go?:

The Easton Lions Grange Charitable Thrift Shop is open every Wednesday from 10-2 and Saturdays from 9 to 3. We are located at the intersection of Rt.138 & Elm St, next to the Union Villa. Your donations are tax deductible.

New used inventory coming in all the time. We are loaded for bear. Dining sets, end tables, couches, chairs, patio sets, glassware, prints, paintings, tools, collectibles, jewelry, nick-knacks, books, toys, bikes, records, clothing, baby things, household items, and an endless count of usable items by the many hundreds. Everything is priced to move and everyone can dicker. No reasonable offers refused.

Where/When: /Saturday 9:30 a.m.

Why Go?: 

Easton will be the fund raising headquarters for School on Wheels of Massachusetts on Saturday, March 24 when the charity hosts its second annual 4 vs. 4 basketball tournament.

The event will be held at beginning at 9:30 a.m. Last year, 28 teams participated in the inaugural tournament, but event organizer hope to exceed that number this year.

Entrance fees are $150 and guarantee at least two games. Organizers are also in search of sponsors to provide beverages and snacks.

Where/When? / 10:30 a.m. Saturday

Why Go?:

Kevin Kidd will offer free digital camera lessons from 10:30 a.m. to noon March 24 at the Ames Free Library.

Participants wil learn to edit, store, print and manage digital photos.

5. Wheaton Farm Hike

Where/When?: Wheaton Farm/ 2 p.m. Saturday

Why Go?:

Members of the Wheaton Farm Committee and Easton's GIS Specialist, Adrienne Edwards, will be hosting a nature walk at the Wheaton Farm conservation property off Bay Road.  While hiking we will be using GPS devices to plot existing trails.  If you have a GPS, bring it along.

Attendees should meet in the parking lot on the west side of Bay Road to the rear of the house at 519 Bay Road.

6. Sunday Story Time

Where/When?:/ 3 p.m. Sunday

Why Go?:

Join us for a new, timely story each week. Following the reading a related craft activity is completed by all the kids.
