Henry Family Hires New York Attorney Michael Sussman
Civil rights lawyer to represent Easton family.
Sussman Law Offices in Goshen, N.Y. confirmed Tuesday that Michael A. Sussman will be the lawyer representing the family of Danroy 'D.J." Henry in an investigation after the Easton native was killed by New York police officers early Sunday morning.
Mount Pleasant, N.Y. police said Henry, a Pace University student, struck two police officers with a motor vehicle and was heading towards a third officer before being shot in the chest and killed outside of Finnegan's Bar and Grille in Thornwood, N.Y. During a news conference Monday morning, the police said they were undertaking an investigation of the shooting.
Another passenger, Brandon Cox, also an Easton native, was wounded. Henry played football at Pace University, while Cox is on the Stonehill College team. Both were teammates at Oliver Ames and were spending time together after the two teams played each other last Saturday in New York.

"While we have been assured of an objective investigation, we are deeply troubled by the various and conflicting accounts reported of the incident that led to our son's tragic passing," the Henry family said in their statement.
The statement came a day after extended family members and close friends spoke out at vigil in Henry's neighborhood Monday night, questioning the Mount Pleasant police's side of the story.
