HUGS II FUNDRAISER

Jimmy Tingle's "Humor for Humanity" Comedy Show Comes to Easton to Benefit H.U.G.S. II on 3/11/16

H.U.G.S. II (Help us Get Safe) is sponsoring the wildly popular comedian, Jimmy Tingle, for a night of comedy to benefit the H.U.G.S. II non-profit organization and its family safety services. This topical, timely comedy show will be held on Friday evening, March 11, 2016 at the Easton Country Club 265 Purchase St. Easton, MA. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. for general admission seating and there is plenty of free parking.

According to Tingle’s website, “The Cambridge, MA - born Tingle has a career spanning three decades as a comedian, writer, actor, activist, and entrepreneur. Tingle has performed on many award-winning shows, including: 60 Minutes II, MSNBC, The Tonight Show, CNN, Larry King’s Weekend, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The American Comedy Awards and his own HBO half-hour comedy show. Tingle was also chosen in 2010 to give the commencement address at Harvard University, after receiving his Master’s degree in public administration.”

“We are thrilled to be able to bring Jimmy Tingle back to Easton,” said Janet Brown, Treasurer of H.U.G.S. “Jimmy Tingle provides a hilarious night of comedy to support non-profit organizations like H.U.G.S.,” Brown further stated. North Easton Savings Bank, a long-time supporter of H.U.G.S., has generously agreed to sponsor this event. Proceeds from this community-based event help fund H.U.G.S.’ family safety programs, including: violence awareness and prevention programs, safety night educational programs for parents, confidential domestic violence services, and scholarship programs.

This show is likely to sell out, so please order your tickets soon. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased: online at www.eastonhugs.org; at North Easton Savings Bank’s 5 Corners branch; or by sending an email to: eastonhugs@comcast.net. A cash bar will be available. Hot & cold hors d’oeuvres will be served. Raffle prizes will add to the evening’s fundraising.
