Here is more information, released by the Ames Free Library, on this wonderful and exciting evening and Krisanthi Pappas:

"Beat the winter blues and join us at the Ames Free Library for 'Love and All That Jazz Cabaret Night,' featuring singer/songwriter Krisanthi Pappas.  Pappas, a Boston-based entertainer, performs 150 times a year at jazz concerts, festivals, resorts, clubs and private events.   She has appeared throughout the U.S. and Caribbean and opened for or shared the stage with such jazz greats as Branford Marsalis, Chuck Mangione, The Yellowjackets, Manhattan Transfer's Cheryl Bentyne, Kevin Mahogany, Gary Burton and Makoto Ozone as well as pop sensations, The B-52s.

"Krisanthi plays piano and drums on some of her songs and writes her band's musical arrangements.  One of her original songs was recently featured on NBC’s popular show, 'Parenthood.'

"According to John Amodeo from Bay Windows, 'Pappas has always possessed considerable musical talent, and a warm, supple voice that can accommodate a surprising range of musical styles.  She exhibited a striking and appealing stage charisma that resonated with inner confidence.  Using her trademark eclectic repertoire and polished musical skills, Pappas created a very personal and highly entertaining show that offered a close look at the many sides of this varied performer.'

"And another great review for Krisanthi from the Provincetown Cabaret Festival in 2010:

"'The attractive curly, long-haired brunette with the short green, metallic dress immediately dazzled us with a jumping, swinging version of "Anything Goes." It's a great feeling when you realize you can just kick back and relax after hearing just one song, safe in the knowledge that it's going to be a really good show.  And the fresh faced, clear throated singer from Boston (who's played more than a few NY clubs) did not disappoint.'”
