Good Morning and Happy Monday!
Today as usual we all shuffle off to work. Busy thinking of getting the kids ready and off to school, the dogs fed and outside for a run, then off to work ourselves. I like to remember that some people wouldnt even be here if it weren't for our dogs.
One local and fairly recent stories was back in 2012. Lilly the Pit Bull put herself in danger and was hit by a train, slicing her foot as she saved the life of a woman on the tracks. This woman, her mom ♥
Lilly has recovered and has been adopted by The womans son. I was lucky enough to meet Lilly at a a Gala held by our rescue this winter. She is amazing. her heroism is why we know to keep the breed free and alive. They truly have been some unsung hero's in recent history. I will touch on a few more stories in the weeks to come.
