Toddler Left At Target, Man Tells Police He Forgot 17-Month-Old

The man reportedly called Easton Police an hour after the toddler was found in the parking lot.

EASTON, MA — A man reportedly told police he forget a toddler at Target about an hour after the 17-month-old boy was found alone in a shopping cart outside the store. The Boston Globe reports the child was taken to the hospital but "appeared unharmed," police said.

Police said surveillance video showed four people who witnesses said were with the toddler leave the store in a SUV with Maine registration plates.

An Easton Police spokesperson did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.

The Department of Children and Families is investigating, according to WBZ Boston.
