A crash on Bay road sent one to the hospital with minor injuries.

A Medway man was arraigned in Taunton District Court Monday morning for drunk driving after a weekend motor vehicle accident sent one passenger to the hospital with minor injuries.

Allen Hodgdon, 21, of 63 Holliston Street, Medway appeared in court after he crashed his car on Bay Road and failed the breathalyzer exam, Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik said. He was also charged with failing to stay in marked lanes and operating to endanger.

Krajcik said he was traveling at "a very high rate of speed" early Saturday morning and his Toyota Solara drove off the road over a stone wall, shearing a telephone pole near 36 Bay Road. The car behind Hodgdon's, driven by a friend of his, crashed into a stone wall as well.

Hodgdon had three passengers and one was sent to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries, Krajcik said. None of the other passengers with Hodgdon or in the trailing vehicle were injuried.
