Easton Standoff: 2 Arrested; Search For Weapons

Police said they arrested Anthony Tatarouns, 25, of Easton, after a SWAT standoff Monday.

EASTON, MA — Two men were arrested in Easton Monday morning following an hours-long SWAT standoff at an Old Foundry Street house, police said. Anthony Tatarouns, 25, of Easton, was arrested on charges related to a domestic violence case, police said. He is expected to face assault and witness intimidation charges. Also arrested was Jordan Creech, 22, of Boston, who had a warrant for an unrelated case.

Police said they launched a search for Tatarouns late Sunday after he was involved in a domestic assault in North Attleboro. He was tracked to Easton and located inside a home on Old Foundry Street, where he was staying with an "unconfirmed" number of people believed to be "unlawfully armed with firearms," Easton police said in a statement.

"Out of an abundance of caution, the Metro(Law Enforcement Council) SWAT and K-9 Teams were called to the scene," Easton police said.
