Dorothy Young (DeBruyn) of Easton, 96, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Braemoor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
She was born in Dorchester daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Langen) DeBruyn. She was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Young and the mother of Andrea Martin of Easton, Allan Young of Framingham, Lawrence Young Jr. of Arizona, Pamela Gardner of Hollywood, Maryland, Dorothy Pugh of Arizona, and the late Bruce Young and Roger Young. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy worked for 25 years at the Church on the Hill Boston Church of the New Jerusalem (Swedenborgian) as a secretary. She also worked in real estate and worked at General Motors in Detroit. She and her husband formed the Brockton Area Retarded Children’s Association and was also the secretary of the Easton Improvement Association.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home 38 Center St., Easton, with burial to follow in South Easton Cemetery, Easton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Beacon Hospice 182 North Main St., Fall River, MA 02720.
