Auto East Foxborough Owner Robert 'Red' Galloway Dies at 82; Raced Stock Cars
Galloway owned Auto East in Foxborough and farms in Easton and Norton.

Robert "Red" Keith Galloway, 82, died in his Easton home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday morning, April, 18, 2013.
He was born in Taunton, son of he late Percy and Laura (O’Neil) Galloway. Red was a 1948 graduate of Taunton High School. As a young man, he raced stock cars and that led him into the automobile business.
For many years, he was an automobile dealer, having his own business, Auto East on Rt. 1, in Foxboro, across from Patriot Place.

Red also was a well-known farmer, having farms in both Norton and Easton. He has been a member of the Hundred Club for more than 30 years. He enjoyed cooking and playing in the stock market.
Red is survived by his children, Betsy Collins Renno and her husband Ronald of Plantation, Fla.; Elaine Hayward and her husband Blair of Brockton; Michael Keith Galloway and his wife Diana of Norton and Robert Wayne Galloway and his wife Jeanne of Norton.

He is the grandfather of 14 and the great grandfather of 5. Red is the brother of Charles Galloway of Taunton and Arnold Galloway and his wife Gail of Norton. He was also the brother of the late Nelsie Pachett, Norma Smith and Walton Bassett. Red is also survived by his companion and pal- man’s best friend his Yorkshire Terrier, Winston Galloway.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., (Route 138 South) Taunton, on Monday. April 22, 2013. at 11 a.m.. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. Private family interment services will be held at a later date.
