One Dead After Fatal Crash on Depot Street
An 83-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in the crash.

From Easton Police:
Friday afternoon at around 3:45 pm Easton Fire and Easton Police Departments responded to a head-on crash at 441 Depot Street in South Easton.
The Easton Fire Department needed to extricate an 83-year-old female, later identified as Gretchen T. Kingman of Wrentham MA, from her 2008 Volkswagen. She suffered serious injuries and later died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital.

Two occupants of the other vehicle were also transported to the Caritas Good Samaritan hospital. They were identified as Jared Anderson, age 28 of 72 Highland St Mansfield and his seven-year-old son, Cayden Anderson, age 7. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The initial investigation indicates that the Volkswagen, operated by Mrs. Kingman, was traveling westbound on Depot Street and crossed into the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with the eastbound Anderson vehicle. Mrs. Kingman may have suffered a medical condition just prior to the crash. A medical helicopter responded to transport Mrs. Kingman and landed at Center School but had a mechanical issue so could not transport the patient.
