Parents of DJ Henry Will Attend State of the Union Address

The Easton native was shot and killed by a police officer in 2010.

The parents of Danroy “DJ” Henry will be in attendance when President Barack Obama delivers his State of the Union address in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.

Angella Henry and Danroy Henry, Sr. will attend the State of the Union as guests of the Massachusetts congressional delegation, WGBH News reported.

Danroy Henry, a 20-year-old student and football player at Pace University, was shot and killed by a police officer on Oct. 27, 2010 in Pleasantville, New York. Henry graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 2007.

A grand jury failed to indict the police officer who fired at Henry in February 2011. There have been no report or findings from the federal government since the US Department of Justice planned to review the case, Boston Globe reported.
