Plane Lands on Chestnut Street Farm

A small plane landed at Wilbur Farm this week.

There is no airport in Easton, but that didn't stop one pilot from landing his aircraft here this week.

Sunday evening at around 6:30 p.m. a small plane piloted by Peter Horan of Easton, landed in the fields at Wilbur’s Farm on Chestnut Street, said. Horan reportedly believed the field was mowed, but upon landing found that the grass was high. There were no injuries or damage to the property.

According to police, Horan had an arrangement with the property owner to land his plane there. The plane, a piper club J3, is a type of plane often used for taking off and landing on unimproved airstrips, Police Chief said.
