Updated: Police Investigate Fatal Accident on Main Street
Easton Police are investigating a fatal accident near the Brockton town line Friday morning.

Thet is investigating a fatal one-car motor vehicle accident on Main Street early Friday morning, Sergeant James McAvoy said.
Family members identified the . McAvoy said the matter is still under investigation and Detective Patrick Healey is investigating.
Fire Captain James Walsh said an Easton Department of Public Works employee was patching potholes on Main Street past near the Brockton town line at approximately 8 a.m. when he spotted a vehicle close to 25 feet in the woods.

The DPW informed recue workers, who closed off the section of Main Street through the morning and afternoon. Walsh said the vehicle had been destroyed.
"It's the worst entrapment I've seen in 25 years," he said.

He said the vehicle appeared to be heading west towards Easton at the time of the accident and there appeared to be marks on the road near the scene.
The time that the accident ocurred is under investigation.
