Police Log: Arrests for OUI, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

Excerpts from the Easton Police Department log.

Friday, Jan. 30

At 9:56 a.m., police summonsed a 22-year-old Taunton man for operating with a suspended registration and an uninsured motor vehicle on Turnpike Street.

At 3:22 p.m., police summonsed a 24-year-old Norton Man for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop/yield after being involved in a three-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Washington Street. Three vehicles were towed.

Saturday, Jan. 31

At 2:27 p.m., police put a 20-year-old female from Windham, ME, into protective custody at Stonehill College on Washington Street.

At 10:32 a.m., police reported a two-car motor vehicle accident with property damage at Andrews Farm Bakery Cafe on Belmont Street.

Sunday, Feb. 1

At 11:52 a.m., police reported a three-car motor vehicle accident with property damage at Subway on Foundry Street.

At 11:42 p.m., police arrested Joseph J. Giuliano III, 32, 16 Pleasant St. of Foxborough, for leaving the scene of property damage, operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and summonsed a 28-year-old male from Cranston, RI, for assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with property damage at Wendy’s Restaurant on Washington Street and subsequently arrested Giuliano the other suspect.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Details were changed regarding the incident at 11:42 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1. The article originally stated that the a 28-year-old male from Cranston, RI, was arrested for assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Patch checked with Easton Police and confirmed that the suspect was summonsed.

Monday, Feb. 2

At 12:32 a.m., police reported motor vehicle offenses from a white 2004 Chevy on Depot Street. The vehicle was gone on officer’s arrival.

At 1:35 a.m., police reported suspicious activity at Olmsted School.
