Police Log: Arrests for OUI Liquor, OUI Drugs, Drug Possession

Friday, Jan. 9

At 9:39 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage at the intersection of Bay Road and Depot Street. A fire engine responded to the incident.

At 2:44 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage at the intersection of Highland Street and Bay Road. The vehicle was towed.

At 3:41 p.m., police reported larceny over $250 on Elm Street.

Saturday, Jan. 10

At 12:52 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with personal injury at Ames Shovel Works on Main Street. A fire engine and an ambulance responded to the incident.

At 6:50 a.m., police arrested Joseph Steve Daniel, 26, 50 Main St. Apt. no. 210, on a warrant arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, an uninsured motor vehicle and number plate violation to conceal ID on Main Street.

At 10:18 a.m., police reported larceny over $250 on Lothrop Street.

At 11:04 p.m., police arrested Teresa B. McCarthy, 30, 22 Walpole St. of Sharon, and charged her with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. McCarthy was involved in a motor vehicle accident with property damage near Depot Street and Cross Street.

Sunday, Jan. 11

At 11:03 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident on Lantern Lane. A fire engine and an ambulance responded to the incident.

At 5:23 p.m., police arrested, Travis. R. Chaney, 31, 11 Guinevere Road of North Easton, and charged him with operating under the influence of drugs, class A drug possession, class E drug possession and a marked lanes violation on Lincoln Street.

Monday, Jan. 12

At 1:17 a.m., police reported suspicious activity at Center School on Depot Street. The subject was advised.

At 1:39 a.m., police arrested George J. Vieira, 45, 94 Underwood St. Apt. no. 2 of Fall River, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation on Belmont Street.

At 1:46 a.m., police arrested Nicholas P. Sorgi, 21, 49 Harrison Ave. of Abington, and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and leaving the scene of property damage at the intersection of Depot Street and School Street.

At 5:59 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident involving a deer on Turnpike Street.
