Police Log: OUI, house break-ins, and suspected drug deals
Incidents that took place in Easton last week.

OUI Arrest
On Tuesday, May 17, Easton police arrested a 50- year old woman for operating under the influence of alcohol, after her car hit and snapped a telephone pole at 702 Turnpike Street, and then landed in the woods. The accident was reported at 11:34 p.m.
The woman, Teresa Shanks, of Middleborough, was not injured, according to Police Chief Allen Krajcik. Police officers conducted a field and sobriety test, which she failed, before they arrested her. She was transported to West Bridgewater Police Department, to take a breathalyzer test.

Breaking and Entering
On Wednesday, May 18, police arrested a 39- year-old Berkeley man for breaking and entering into a house on Elizabeth Way. Chief Krajcik said the name of the man can not be released due to privacy issues, which involve mental health.

The person who reported the incident was in the house when the break-in occurred, and was advised to leave the house.
In other action this week:
Thursday, May 19: caller reported a pit bull running loose on Howard Street.
A store manager reported finding several purses, wallets, ids and credit cards in a dumpster at the CVS Pharmacy on Washington Street. Owners were notified.
A Dean Street House was broken into. Caller reported that a jewelry box was missing.
On Friday, May 20, callers reported two suspicious activities taking place, which they thought were drug deals.
The first involved an incident next to Union Villa, but the suspected participants were gone when police arrived. The second took place at the parking lot on Burger King, on Foundry Street, in which the caller reported suspicious action involving a white Toyota Camry with two white males inside. The suspects were gone upon arrival.
On Saturday, a resident on Evergreen Drive reported three cayotes in his back yard.
