Police Respond to Reported Fireworks Out Car Window

A driver shooting fireworks out of the car window highlights today's police and fire log.

received a call at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday regarding an erratic driver crossing the Easton/Stoughton line.

Stoughton Police said the driver was on Washington Street heading towards Easton while shooting fireworks out of the window.

Easton responded to route 138 but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Turkey Hazard Sunday

Washington Street and Union Street experienced back-ups Sunday evening as a result of an unusual road hazard.

A turkey had wondered into the road causing traffic to come to a halt at approximately 5:30 p.m. Easton Police responded to the incident but the turkey had disappeared.

Fireworks Complaint Saturday Night

A Hermosa Drive resident said she was in fear a fire would result from fireworks that were landing in her yard Saturday night.

Police received a call at approximately 9:30 p.m. regarding a neighbor setting off fireworks that were landing in the caller's yard. An officer responded to the area and said the fireworks sounds were from a distance and would not harm the property.

The officer traveled to the orgin of the fireworks on Kenbane Drive and ordered the party setting off fireworks to cease.

Vandalism at Landsdowne Village Friday

Residents at Landsdowne Village on Foundry Street said they thought they heard shots fired Friday morning at approximately 11:30 a.m. resulting in broken car windows.

Upon investigation, police found that a juvenile had broken windows, but no shots were fired. The juvenile was transported to the Easton Police Station.
