Police Respond to Five Reports of Vehicle Break-ins Over Weekend

Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, police received calls from five different Easton residents reporting that their car had been broken into the evening before.

Four callers said their vehicle had been broken into while parked in their driveway on Main Street. Another caller reported a breaking-and-entering while their car was parked in their driveway on Electric Drive. Another resident reported a car break-in in the parking lot of the Fox Run condo complex on Foundry Street.

Accident on Foundry Street Sunday

Police received a call from a resident at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday regarding an altercation about to occur as a result of an accident at 75 Foundry Street at the intersection of route 138 and route 106.

The altercation was about to occur between a group of bikers and a motorist. Police responded and issued the necessary citations.

One Arrested for Underage Posession of Alcohol

Easton Police arrested a 20-year-0ld Easton resident for posession of alcohol under the age of 21 at approxmiately 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Thomas Riley, 20, 0f Turnpike Street was arrested for posession of alcohol under the age of 21 while on the corner of Central and Short Street.

Shoplifting at Hannaford Saturday

Easton Police arrested a Norton man Saturday morning for allegedly stealing $109 worth of meat from

Paul Anderson, 45, of 157 Mansfield Ave, Norton was arrested for shplifting after a caller reported him leaving with the meat. The product was left ouside of the store and he was pulled over shortly afterwards.
