State Trooper Relieved of Duty After OUI Arrest

The Massachusetts State Police relieved Trooper Brian Simpkins of duty Friday morning following his arrest in the overnight hours by Stoughton Police for operating under the influence and violation of the open container law.

Simpkins, 39, of Canton, was ordered held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail at his arraignment Friday morning in Stoughton District Court.

North Attleborough Woman Killed in Attleboro Crash

Kaisha Guerrini, 24, of North Attleborough was killed in the  Thursday night on North Main Street between Wamsutta Road and Keith Drive. She was a mother of a 3-year-old boy as well as a college student and sergeant in the National Guard, according to NECN.com.

"I've lost a beautiful person who cared a lot for other people and gave a lot to everybody," the victim's father James Guerrini told WCVB-TV in Boston on Friday.

Turnpike Street 7-11 Robbed at Knife-Point

Easton Police responded to 7-11 on Turnpike Street at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night regarding an alleged robbery at knife point.

Police first received a notification from the alarm company reporting a panic alarm. Minutes later, the clerk from 7-11 stated the store was robbed at knife-point. The clerk said the suspect took cash from the drawer and three packs of cigarettes.

The suspect was described as a tall, white male possibly in his 20's wearing a heavy blue winter jacket. The suspect fled in a "white work van" with no front plate. The clerk was unable to read the rear licence plate. The vehicle drove onto route 106 towards West Bridgewater. West Bridgewater Police were advised.

The clerk pointed out the vehicle to officers as vehicle that left the scene. A felony vehicle stop was conducted and the parties checked out OK.

Pam's Pet Sitting in Sharon is owned and operated by Pam Lipman, a veteran pet sitter since 2009 who is fully insured and bonded.

Her specialty includes cats, dogs, turtles, fish and even lizards.

Lipman was spotted walking one of her regulars, a dog named Dodger who happens to be a Hurricaine Katrina rescue.
