Sanctuary's Weep

Tears shaped like clouds descend upon the lake's serene waters,

A woman's sorrow flows in every drop,

Resolute to restore what the sun once took away.

Her eyes, beautiful blues, mirror the lakes—

Not just tears, but an emotional river of cry,

Cleansing the land from the toxic breath of factories nearby.

With each shower of moisture, she battles the relentless pollution,

We cherish her efforts and thank God she walked our path,

To mend the earth with her unwavering spirit.

When will God's grace end this defacement of His planet,

By the selfish ways of man?

We must return this land to paradise.

As Jesus spoke to the criminal beside Him on the Roman stake,

Promising, "You will be with me in paradise,"

We await the day when all will say Amen,

Our Lord's Day has arrived.
