Slew of Mailbox Vandalism Incidents Reported Sunday Morning

If you woke up with your mailbox vandalized Sunday morning, you weren't alone. Four residents called the Sunday morning to report a mailbox vandalism incident, and another called about paintballs shot at their house.

Reports of mailbox vandalism ocurred on Cherry Ridge Lane, Marshall Road, Calvin Road, and Pebblebrook Road. A Summer Street resident reported paintball shots fired at the residence. All incidents were logged.

Just Ice Fishing

At approximately 12:45 on Sunday, a 911 caller reported a male on the ice of French's Pond looking into it. A small child's pink boots were on the side. The and Police Department were notified.

Upon arrival, officers realized that the party was just ice fishing.

Shoplifting at Walgreens

At approximately 12:45 on Friday, police officers received a call about shoplifting at Walgreens. The suspects left in a dark colored jeep cherokee with Rhode Island plates. The party was described as a white male with a blue plaid jacket and a white hard hat.

The officer said the store believes the suspect has been in the store before.
