South Easton Man in Ski Mask Arrested for Store Robberies

The man robbed Dunkin' Donuts and Piezoni's Restaurant on Tuesday and attempted to rob White Rose Pantry with an accomplice on Wednesday.

A white male wearing a black ski mask attempted to rob a convenience store in South Easton on Wednesday night.

The suspect fled without getting any cash, but police were able to arrest the masked man and another man for the attempted robbery at White Rose Pantry, 277 Turnpike St.

Officer Leonard Coe observed a suspicious vehicle that was driving slowly with its lights off less than a mile from the convenience store at Mutual Gas Station near Washington Street and Depot Street.

Police said Coe issued a vehicle stop and arrested Thomas A. Riley, 24, 129 Turnpike St. of South Easton and Anthony Gaultier, 27, 18 Prospect St. of South Easton.

RIley was charged with the robbery at White Rose Pantry and two other robberies that took place in South Easton on Tuesday at Dunkin’ Donuts, on Washington Street, and Piezoni’s Restaurant, on Robert Drive. He confessed to detectives that he committed the Tuesday robberies.

Gaultier was charged with attempted armed robbery at White Rose Pantry.
