Southeastern Regional Students' MCAS Results Top the SE Region Catchment Area

SRVTHS has exceeded exceeded its target score in all student groups.

As a Level I school in 2015, SRVTHS has exceeded its target score of 75% or higher in all student groups, indicating continued progress toward narrowing proficiency gaps.

Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School continues to improve and excel among public high schools in the region. In 2013, SRVTHS was recognized as the state’s highest combined Math and ELA growth in the Commissioner of Education’s MCAS press release for increases in proficient/advanced since 2007, by 56 percentage points in ELA and up 33 points in Math. In the most recent MCAS examinations, SRVTHS grade 10 students further increased their proficient or higher scores in ELA to 93%, up 3% from 2014, putting SRVTHS above the state average.

For the second year, the Massachusetts Department of Education has designated Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School’s Accountability and Assistance Level to the highest of five levels, remaining a Level I (Meeting gap narrowing goals) high school. SRVTHS students come from nine school districts which include Brockton, East Bridgewater, Easton, Foxboro, Mansfield, Norton, Sharon, Stoughton and West Bridgewater.

But there’s more to this story of academic success. Principal David Wheeler explains, “That’s not all we do, just all we are measured on. We also prepare kids for career and employment. We do both very well.”

Mrs. Heidi Driscoll, Director of Academics, agrees. “Our kids have a competitive edge that can’t be matched.”

Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School is a public 9-12 vocational high school located in South Easton, Massachusetts, serving approximately 1372 students from Brockton, East Bridgewater, Easton, Foxboro, Mansfield, Norton, Sharon, Stoughton and West Bridgewater.
