Teen Hits Gas Instead Of Brake, Crashes Into Subway, Honey Dew

Police said the 16-year-old, who has a learner's permit, was practicing parking with her dad when she smashed into a glass entryway.

EASTON, MA — A 16-year-old girl practicing parking mistakenly crashed into a building Friday, police said. No one was injured when the girl allegedly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and the car went into a glass entryway shared by Subway and Honey Dew Donuts.

The girl, who has a learner's permit, stepped on the wrong pedal around 1:30 p.m. on Belmont Street while practicing with her dad in the passenger's seat. She was driving a Toyota RAV4.

The girl will not be cited or charged, police said.
