Three Brush Fires Reported Wednesday

Numerous calls for brush fires highlight today's fire log.

officials were called three seperate times on Wednesday to investigate outside fire. One instance was on Kristen's Way at approximately 7 a.m. Another was on Reynolds Street at 11:20 a.m. The third was at approximately 2 p.m. at Hill Street.

On Kristen's Way and Reynolds Street, no problem was reported. At Hill Street, an illegal fire was found nearby at Turnpike Street. Parties were notified and the fire was extinguished.

Fire Officials investigated a possible carbon monoxide leak at High Street on Tuesday morning at approximately 1:20 a.m. Officials found a faulty detector and advised the homeowner.

Gas Leak Investigation on Cosma Road

Fire officials received a call Sunday at approximaately 11:30 a.m. regarding a gas leak on Cosma Road. Officials found a 20 pound propane tank with a minor leak off gassing due to the temperature and over-filling. Officials checked the surrounding area for high gas readings and found nothing.
