Two Arrested in Easton on Fraud and Conspiracy Charges

A pair of suspects in a fraud cases have been arrested by Easton Police.
Andrick Lamarre, 20, of Boston, was charged with conspiracy and uttering a false check. Julia Evans, 59, of Stoughton, was charged with conspiracy.
According to Easton Police Chief Alan Krajcik, police detectives received a call around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday from HarborOne Bank reporting that their branches in Randolph and Brockton were victims of check fraud.

The bank told police that the suspects were at the Easton location, attempting to fraudulently withdraw cash.
After Easton police responded, the two were placed under arrested for check fraud.

Labarre coordinated the scheme by going on social media and offering money to any individual with an active checking account. Lamarre would then deposit a bad check into that account and then have the account holder withdraw funds from that account and give the account holder a fee for assisting. The account holder was not aware of the scheme until later.
The account holder who unknowingly participated was not charged.
