Upcoming Performances of 'Robin Hood and Maid Marian'

Original musical coming to Easton Middle School stage Nov. 18–20

The musical "Robin Hood and Maid Marian" will be at the Easton Middle School auditorium, Columbus Ave., on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.

The legendary Robin Hood and Maid Marian come to life in this mixture of adventure, comedy and romance. Set in 12th century England, this production is sprinkled with jesters, dancers, troubadours, acrobats, sword fights, intrigues and a “real” archery contest. When the evil Baron de Lacy and his cohort, the hen-pecked Sheriff of Nottingham, force Maid Marian to flee to Sherwood Forest, she is reunited with her childhood friend, Robin of Locksley. The Sheriff plots to recapture them by holding a huge fair including an archery contest to determine who is the greatest archer in all of England, a title Robin claims. In another of his devious plots, the sheriff succeeds in capturing Robin. But Robin is saved by Marian and her sister Beatrice and their old family friend, King Richard the Lionhearted.

The show has two casts, with actors from Easton, Sharon, Mansfield and other nearby towns; each cast will perform two of the four performances. The role of Robin Hood is played by Hobie Sobieraj as Robin and Tovah Tolub as Maid Marian and also by Brendan Shanahan as Robin and Amelia Loughlin as Maid Marian. Remy MacInnis and Chris Galas appear as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Nick Williams and Nate Flynn as King Richard the Lionhearted, with Emma Lawson and Hannah Clifford as Queen Eleanor. The evil baron will be played by Brendan Robinson and Kellan Kilmartin, while the comical sheriff’s wife will be Danielle Geary and Tyler DeCouto. Bruce Hadley and TJ Clifford will play Little John with Jonathan McArdle and Matt Guarino as Friar Tuck. Other lead roles include Owen Parker, Cameron Isveck Alyssa Kenney, Emma Donovan, Serena Frank, Ella Rivers, Kylie Spillane, Emma Donovan, Aislynn Blaney, Ally Brass, Cassie Passias, Shelby Brass, Amanda Fogel and Andrew Sadow.
