1 Dead After Falmouth 'Flop House' Stabbing: DA

Local police were working to contact suspects as of Thursday night, District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said in a video from the scene.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was stabbed to death at a home on Davisville Road on Thursday, District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said.

Video from the scene shows O'Keefe speaking with reporters, confirming that Doug Rose, 41, was the victim.

Local police responded to the home on a report of a disturbance around 6:25 p.m. on Thursday, where they found Rose bleeding from apparent stab wounds, a statement from the DA's office said.

Rose was given medical attention at the scene from Falmouth Fire and Rescue, but died later at Falmouth Hospital.

"The police are working diligently on it and have a couple of individuals that they want to catch up to," he said.

In reference to the home, O'Keefe said it's "kind of described as a flop house," which he explained means people lived there off and on.
