2 Crashes Close Roads In Falmouth
A vehicle accident Thursday afternoon and another overnight forced police to shut down roads in East Falmouth and near Woods Hole.

FALMOUTH, MA — Two crashes here within hours of each other forced police to close some Falmouth roads.
A “serious” motor vehicle accident Thursday around 4:41 p.m. shut down Route 151 between Sandwich Road and Currier Road in East Falmouth, police said in a statement.
Details including information about any injuries weren’t immediately available. But a photograph in the Cape Cod Times on Friday morning showed an officer examining a bicycle along the side of a roadway.

Later in the day, police reopened the area to traffic and said an investigation was underway into the cause of the crash.
Overnight, the Falmouth Police Department responded to another accident, involving a single vehicle.

A portion of Oyster Pond Road, near the junction with Fells Road, was temporarily closed due to the crash of a pickup truck into a utility pole, according to an FPD post at 1:21 a.m.
More information wasn't immediately available, although a photograph by police shows the truck at the scene.
