4-Year-Old Boy Killed In Falmouth Crash
Okemos R. Brown, a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, died in a crash on Route 151 in Falmouth, tribal police said.
FALMOUTH, MA — A 4-year-old boy died after suffering serious injuries Thursday morning in a crash on Route 151 in Falmouth.
The crash happend around 9 a.m. Police were called to Route 151 at the on-ramp of Route 28 northbound. Officers found a sedan and a commercial truck were involved in a crash.
Okemos R. Brown, was airlifted to a Boston area hospital, but succumbed to his injuries there. The boy was a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, tribal police confirmed.

"We are saddened by the loss of 4-year-old Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal member Okemos R. Brown," tribal police said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and our tribal community."
Brown was a preschooler at Kenneth C. Coombs School, said Mashpee School Superintendent Patricia M. DeBoer in an email to the parents and the school community.

"Okemos was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed," DeBoer said. "In addition to being part of our Mashpee School Community, Okemos was also a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Okemos was related to many members of our connected community. We will all spend difficult moments grieving his loss. Please keep Okemos and his family in your thoughts and prayers."
