Northern spies steal a locomotive (called the General), trying to race it back to Yankee territory, but not if Buster, the General’s engineer, can help it! Instead of relying on a canned soundtrack, the library is privileged to welcome back noted silent film accompanist Richard Hughes, who will provide live piano accompaniment to amplify the excitement of the action in the film!

3) Today at 3pm, veteran travelers Maggie and Terry Rioux will speak about their recent trip to England at the , during which they traveled to places where American tourists don’t usually go: the Newcastle area, the Fens, Gloucester and Herefordshire. Their trip lasted for three weeks in September, and as always, the talk will be illustrated by the Riouxs' stunning photographs.
