5 Things You Need to Know Today, 4/12

A spa day to benefit the Falmouth Dog Park and more for April 12.

1) Today we'll have scattered showers, mainly after 9am. It will be cloudy, with a high near 52. Tonight we'll have a chance of showers, mainly before 8pm. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. 

2) Today is the official "Spa Day" to benefit the . Signature Studios Spa of Mashpee will donate half of any manicure, pedicure, facial or massage today to the park, and dogs can have a spa day as well at one of these grooming locations: Captivating Canines at 508-477-4885; Snip ‘n Clip at 508-540-3647; and South Cape Grooming at 508-457-0025.

3) The Business Education Committee of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce presents "Networking Made Easy" today at noon at  for lunch and networking. Be sure to bring a supply of your business cards (at least 30) and prepare what you want to say in two minutes or less. You’ll want to let these new contacts know what you’re looking for in terms of a potential client or perhaps a partnering opportunity. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. 4) A weekly afternoon parent chat with Carol DiFalco, MS, LMHC will be held each Thursday from 1-2pm at the . This is a drop-in parenting group for caregivers with children 1-5 years. Limited childcare will be available. Since parenting can be joyous and difficult, getting together and discussing the challenges can be helpful, informative, and good for the parenting soul. This group is for anyone who has a young child and could use some support. For more information, please call 508-548-0151 x 172.
