4) The stories and illustrations of Beatrix Potter call up fond childhood memories, but Potter was much more than a creator of warmhearted children’s tales. Who knew she became a sheep farmer, land conservationist and community activist?  Cape resident Betsy Bray, a member of Beatrix Potter Society, will offer a slide presentation on Potter’s life and work at 7pm this evening at the . The event is free and open to the public.
