5 Things You Need to Know Today, 8/3

2) Check out 's new exhibit, , between 10 a.m and 4 p.m. The exhibit features the work of local artists Philip Bergson, Robina Carter, Jane Eccles, Maryalice Eizenberg, Steve Kennedy, Peg LoPresto, William Maloney, Rosalie Nadeau, JoAnn Ritter, Merylle-Lee Thompson, Phill Thompson, and Joyce Zavorskas. 4) The MBL's hosts a lecture on , with Professor Arthur L. Horwich of Yale University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Learn how the science's understanding of this mysterious function of cells has changed in the past decades, and how specialized proteins, called molecular chaperones, prevent “illicit” or dangerous interactions between other proteins.
