A Chill Is In The Wind

Conflicting truths in the State's "wild west" of wind.

EXCERPT: Although municipalities have a duty to taxpayers to keep costs low, they also have a duty to update infrastructure responsibly. On May 28, Ms. Megan Amsler gave a presentation to the Massachusetts Wind Working Group Meeting on Offshore Wind. (http://www.masscec.com/events/massachusetts-wind-working-group-meeting-and-panel-discussion).

Notable Quote Concerning Ms. Amsler:  “Words have no meaning if your actions reveal a different truth”.

It’s strikingly apparent from the growing frustration in wind host communities across the Commonwealth that there are conflicting truths in the state’s wild west of wind. Over the past several years the state’s wind experts have made assurances. And as a result, many wind host towns and residents are now railing about the state’s misrepresentations.

It’s a terrible shock that our government (federal, state & local), who’s duty it is to protect its populace, continues to condone the sacrifice of a few for the opportunity to make, save or prevent the loss of money for the many.

Some politicians, political appointees and green lobbyists would have you believe that that’s progress. Dependent of course, upon which wind carries the best business opportunity.
