Acrobat Injured After Falling During Barnstable County Fair Show
The acrobat fell 20 feet fell from the top of the "Wheel of Death," a large rotating structure with wide hoops on both ends.

FALMOUTH, MA — An acrobat was hospitalized after falling off the "Wheel of Death" during a show at the Barnstable County Fair Wednesday evening.
Fire and emergency officials were on standby at the fair, when they reported the fall around 5:45 p.m. The acrobat, a performer with the Nervous Nocks, fell from the top of the "Wheel of Death," a large rotating structure with wide hoops on both ends. He was performing in one of the rotating hoops and fell into another hoop before falling 20 feet to the ground.
The acrobat was rushed to Falmouth Hospital for his injuries. Fire officials said the acrobat suffered serious injuries, but they were not life-threatening.

Police notified the office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, following the incident.
