Small Plane Crashes During Takeoff At Cape Cod Airfield

One of the two people on the plane at the time of the crash suffered minor injuries, but both occupants are safe.

MARSTON MILLS, MA — A small airplane crashed during an attempted takeoff at Cape Cod Airfield on Wednesday, the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills fire department said.

Two people were aboard the plane as it crashed into the woods adjacent to the airfield, officials said. One person suffered minor injuries, though both are safe and declined to go to the hospital

Both were able to walk away from the plane crash, and fire officials found the plane at the end of one of the runways.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating what caused the crash, according to CBS Boston, who also has video of the crashed plane.
