• Fifth West Nile-positive mosquito sample reported in Falmouth (capecodtimes.com) — Falmouth has logged its fifth West Nile-positive mosquito sample this season, including a new detection off Woods Hole Road, putting the town at a moderate risk level but with no human cases so far. Local and state health officials urge residents to eliminate standing water, avoid mosquitoes at dusk and after dark, and stay alert as virus activity rises statewide.
   

• Cape Cod cocaine bust ends with the fleeing suspect crouched in the back of an Uber after he allegedly drove at Falmouth officers (massdailynews.com) — Falmouth Police, working with a Cape Cod DEA task force, arrested a Dorchester man in Mashpee after a cocaine investigation in which a driver allegedly sped a vehicle toward Falmouth officers before fleeing. Officers later recovered about 65 grams of suspected cocaine, and the suspect now faces trafficking charges and was held on $10,000 bail at the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office.
