FALMOUTH, MA — Mother Nature has put a damper on the Falmouth Police Department's plans for its annual open house.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, the event has been postponed until spring because of the weather forecast, according to a Facebook post from the department.
Although a new date has not been announced, residents can still look forward to an afternoon of family-friendly activities when the event returns.
The open house is expected to feature a K-9 demonstration and tours of the Falmouth Police Station. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet local officers, learn more about their work and connect with those who serve the community.
Free food and drinks are also expected to be available.
The event was originally scheduled to run from noon to 2 p.m.
The department plans to announce a new date in the coming months.
