FALMOUTH, MA —As families prepare for the holiday season, the Falmouth Police Department is joining forces with Falmouth Clippers Cheer and the Falmouth Service Center to help fight hunger in the community.
On Saturday, Nov. 7, the organizations will host the 2026 Handcuff Hunger Food Drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Falmouth Shaw's Stop and Shop.
Members of the Falmouth Police Community Engagement Team, Falmouth High School cheerleaders and Falmouth Service Center staff will be on hand to collect donations.
The organizations are seeking quick bread mixes, canned corn, canned pumpkin, canned mixed vegetables, chicken noodle soup and white or brown rice.
Four-legged friends won't be forgotten, either. Canned dog and cat food will also be accepted.
Residents who cannot attend the event can still make a difference.
Donation boxes will be available in the lobby of the Falmouth Police Department through 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
With the holiday season approaching, the food drive offers residents a chance to lend a helping hand and support neighbors in need.
